A face full of the slim lines(features) appears from an ample drapery of Burgundian character which calls back(reminds) very hardly the Toulousian statuary of the XVth century.
A very numerous production went out of the same vein, and the Virgin(Virgo) of Moissac is certainly the masterpiece there: painful face(figure) but of a big dignity which still rest(support) the lowered(dimmed) eyes, she(it) impresses by the contrast established between the body and the face which evokes too much Claus Sluter and the Burgundian school of the XVth century.

Nothing, here, of the a little bit mischievous grace(favor) which we find in the quite nearby figurines of the Rouergue, but a monumental sense(direction) which forces to the silence, to the condolence, as much as to the admiration for the artist.
