Golden original

The pendant is an adaptation of the ring.
This golden ring belongs to a type(chap) of very frequent jewel in Egypt from the Average Empire (by 2100-1600 before J.C.). The kitten borrows(takes) the shape of the scarab, the preventive animal which symbolizes the daily revival of the sun. In the Average Empire, the ''dish''(''flat'') of the amulet often carries(wears) the name of a state employee, accompanied with its titles(securities); in the New Empire, we find there either the name of the ruling sovereign, or a formula of protection placed under the aegis of a god. Here the dish(flat) is decorated with a hathorique emblem, surrounded with wishes of youth. Generally, the beetle-ring revolves, as this one, around? A golden thread among which both extremities come to wind on the rush-ring.
