Golden original

Among the animal motives used in the jewelry(jeweler's store) of the New Empire represents the fish in particular in the form of pendants associated to gold chains as it is the case here.
These tilapias, fishes in the beneficial virtues, are the wages of a ceaselessly renewed life. This concept would be at the origin of that of the fish-Ichtyos of the first Christians.
We can only admire the virtuosity of the artist which knew how to return in these fine golden blades the detail of fins, scales. In spite of its small size(cutting), this object testifies of the technical perfection reached(affected) by the silversmiths of the New Empire.
